Briony is an experienced cricket coach, having started as the very first cohort of All Star Activators back in 2017. Since then she has developed her experience as a coach and manager.
She joined Shepherds Bush Cricket Club in 2019 when there were just a handful of girls, growing it to maximum capacity, with 80 girls playing across five leagues, as well as three women’s teams to ensure a full pathway is in place. In recognition of her contribution at Shepherds Bush CC she was awarded Club Person of the Year in 2022, The Sun Newspaper International Women’s Day Grassroots Sporting Hero, Middlesex's Outstanding Contribution Award in 2023 and Hammersmith & Fulham Coach of the Year in 2024.
Not only does Briony coach at Shepherds Bush CC, but she runs an MCC Foundation Hub, leads the Junior Cricket at The Hurlingham Club in Fulham, coaches at the Lord’s Indoor Cricket Centre as well as a range of schools in West London. She is particularly passionate about engaging with children under the age of 11 to introduce them to fundamental movement skills and a love of sport.
Alongside coaching, Briony has a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Sport Psychology. She works with schools and academies to deliver workshops, and does 1:1 work through her own website, and with Cricket Mind Online, a specialised cricket mindset business. As well as this as a separate work stream, she aims to ensure that psychological skills and mindset are thread through her coaching practices.
Briony sits on the MJCA Executive Committee and is the MJCA Girls Area Treasurer.
