MAX ROXBURGH

Max is a cricket coach with a strong playing background and a passion for developing young players across all stages of the game. 

His playing experience includes five seasons of county age group cricket, representing London Schools at Under 13–15 level and Northamptonshire at Under 16–18 level. He also competed at Under 21 level in Victoria, Australia, and spent a season playing as an overseas cricketer, gaining valuable experience in high-performance environments. In addition, he has played club cricket in Middlesex, further strengthening his understanding of the English domestic game.

As a coach with JDS Cricket Coaching he is actively involved in year-round player development, delivering structured winter programmes and leading coaching sessions across multiple age groups. He coached the Under 11 girls’ team during the summer season, focusing on skill development, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. He has also spent a term assisting with the MCC Under 13 and Under 15 girls’ squads at Lord’s, gaining experience in elite junior coaching settings. Alongside this, Max coaches mini cricket at North Middlesex and has delivered junior coaching sessions in Australia, giving him a broad and adaptable coaching approach. 

His coaching philosophy is centred on creating a positive, engaging, and challenging environment that helps players build strong fundamentals, develop game awareness, and grow both on and off the field.
